I recently hit my 6 month sober goal and I'm not sure how I feel. I still crave weed occasionally and I've been turning to sugar even more than before.. just kinda replacing one substance with another it seems. A lot of changes have happened in the last several months. I moved across the country and away from everyone I know.. feeling quite lonely even with the new relationship I'm in (my partner is not sober and I have some conflicting feelings about it), and I'm dealing with having to find a new job and trying to start my own business at the same time. It's a lot and I'm craving bad rn. The addict in me wants to hide and self medicate but the warrior in me wants to rise above all the bullshit. I know I have to stay strong and work through everything, it just feels so overwhelming and depressing sometimes and I feel alone.

Yeah… I think we all just replace things with something else. The goal is to replace it with something good like working out or something career related. Because we have addictive personalities, so if we apply it to something positive… we’re stronger than most people.
