I relapsed after 2 months of not drinking so I’m here again starting over. Ugh
Now you know another thing that doesn’t work. Dust yourself off and get back to it
I have had 4 do overs since January myself. A therapist pointed out to me that he is just happy I am motivated to have another go at it! It’s tough for me to wrap my mind around because I do not want to cross that line from just losing a fight to taking advantage of my ability to be complacent. I can’t beat myself up over it but a can’t be too easy on myself either.
Its a part of the recovery process. Keep your sobriety first.
Good morning Suzette Unfortunately Relapse is part of recovery and that is something something that we have to always accept what makes us better is when we we get up wipe ourselves off and get back on track there's no time to sit on the pitty pot The only time we have is just for today we have to realize that that when we get in the situation without mind the way we think and it's not feeling right we need to reach into our bag of tools and use our support group use our sponsors use our loved ones use a higher power the higher power we have the tools all we have to do is get connected back I did that and go for it You don't have to worry about getting judged you don't have to worry about being ashamed you don't have to worry about feeling like less than no no don't you dare feel like that We are human we make mistakes even every recovery mistakes happens is how we deal with the mistakes what makes us better So With that being said Suzette You have support support you have people who care about you you have people who want to be there for you you just have to come to us and let us know embrace all the love and support that you have and you can't go wrong one day at a time just remember that just remember that sky is the limit just embrace itKeep your head up and be strong Have a blessed and safe day and if you want to reach out to me by all means do that or to anybody we're there for you
Woops you fall down, now, pick your self up dust your self off and start all over again.. simple ,not Easy
Get to a meeting, meet people and get phone numbers, get a sponcer and work on the defects that nocked you down..
Welcome back👍
I’m glad you’re here! You’re one of the chosen ones as many of us never make it back.
Suggestion: look at what you were doing before and then see if there is something you can do differently this time? I can say for me that was the start of my sobriety this time around. I was willing to try something different. Do you go to meetings? Find a program that works for you. Mine is AA. I also enjoy refuge recovery and reading other spiritual books and going to church/reading scripture. I’m not perfect but I try to practice the tools I’ve learned in sobriety. Asking for help is one we could flex
on in early sobriety. I pray for your healing. That circumstance will change, I pray that the fear will flee in Jesus’ name, have a blissfully wonderful day filled with love and peace within my friend.
I never give up on anybody who really wants to be sober
A failed period of sobriety need not be repeated.
Do you know what to do different?
If not ask a closed mouth person you can trust what you should do that is what we do when despair and pain gets to a point where we are willing change.
Much love to you today.
No shame in starting over. Success is not measured by never failing. It is measured by never giving up.
I’m right there with you… it’s easy to get down on yourself but think of all the amazing things you learned and did over those 2 months! You haven’t lost any of that. Dust yourself off and learn what triggered you😌
I want to be sober I don’t want to be the person I was b4
Thank you all for the kind words and advise

Then don’t give up
Hey girl, you can still do it.
It’s all good it happens to the best of us, don’t beat yourself up learn from it and stay the course
Not starting over. Continuing from where you left off. Just gotta use what you learned from the relapse and get fighting again.
