I relapsed some time in November before Thanksgiving. I can't

I relapsed some time in November before Thanksgiving. I can't remember the date. I was sober for almost two months after 37 days in rehab. I want to go back to rehab. I don't want this to go on any longer. I can't function correctly when I drink. I make horrible decisions and I stop taking care of myself. I don't want to live like this anymore. I need help. I was so happy and healthy when I was sober. I can't let this relapse turn into more months, years, etc.

Go to as many AA meetings as you can and try to get back into rehab if needed. Get a sponsor and start taking the 12 steps. Have someone in the program help you get rid of any drugs and alcohol still in your home.

Thank you, I reached out to my rehab facility. I'm going to return so I can get back on track.

Good luck Donnie. Remember, rehab can be great but we all need to work a good program when we get out to continue to stay sober.

Thank you. This is very important. The moment I stopped my program after rehab is when I relapsed. I doing what I can, contacting my rehab, meetings, etc.

I relapse recently myself and I couldn’t stop on my own once I started. I hand 6 months sober. It took a few tries in detox but I finally got sober three weeks ago. Before you get out ask your doctor about Anabuse. It is a medication for Alcoholics and it makes you sick if you even have a shot or a beer. It’s is another tool that can help you succeed on staying sober until you feel confident on your sobriety. AA, or another 12 step program, sponsore and a home group are highly recommended. Start out with a 90 and 90 and you will not be disappointed

I know it’s hard but you can do this week your higher power and stay in the heard for that’s the only way you can be successful reach out to people and don’t isolate you are very strong for your making the first steps of being honest with yourself we all know where that life can take us but I commend you for voicing out what’s going on it’s possible for everyone and I can tell you want it god will bless and take care of you

You are very brave for being so honest with yourself. It’s important to show yourself kindness and compassion right now. This is a really great article from one of my favorite sober blogs I recommend reading How to Forgive Yourself If You Slip Up This Holiday Season

Being honest and aware of where you are and what you want is a huge start to get back there again. When I first got sober the closest meeting was 45 min each way and I still tried to make as many as I could. You can do this.

Good luck Dannie! You Can do this!

Good luck Dannie. I hope you find your reason to stay sober soon. Wishing you all the best.

Everytime you reach for that drink tell yourself I’ll drink it tomorrow or I’ll just wait 2 more hours to drink it then 2 hours more. Try to only go to stores that don’t serve alcohol

Choose your friends like a fruit, work out like it’s nobody’s business, eat healthy, volunteer at homeless shelters and help someone that’s going through the same thing as you, pray, learn how to play chest, learn new words, most of all love the people around your on purpose.
