I sill have really shitty days.I still have moments when I have to really put my thinking in check. But the problems I have today seem a lifetime away from the woman I used to be.I have tools now,I don't just react in a fit of rage.I think,I process, I breath;today I'm in control. I'M so very greatfull I don't ever have to wake up in shame and Despair from yet another night drinking myself away. I'm not afraid anymore, I'm confident in my Sobriety, today I'm a viking.Being sober for 3 years has given me the strength to have a shitty day and be OK. And for someone like me that is an amazing feeling.

Shitty days are apart of life. Yet, rather have them sober then using. At least we can cope with them today instead of running away and towards death. Congrats on those years sober.

Shitty days will come but they seem to pass faster without me making them worse with my behavior.

Thanks for sharing, well put .

That’s awesome Alisha. I have seven years and still have shitty days. Sobriety it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I can look in the mirror now and love the person I see. The last year has been a rough one for me. Lot of changes in my life I decided rather than let it get me down I would dig into recovery. Life is good even with shitty days. Ty for your reply. Inspired me. Let’s stay in touch. You new long distance friend.

A good day is when your having a good day and decide not to drink. A great day is when your having a bad day and decide not to drink
