I started a AA group in town where I live

I started a AA group in town where I live. I registered it with the AA head courtiers in NY, so it’s official. I’ve only had one person show up since The December start date. I won’t give up on this, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this moving.

That is awesome and inspiring! Great work

It takes time for the word to get out. Not everyone is inclined to check an app for new meetings. I've made flyers & took them to established meetings to be read with the announcements. I've also sent invites to all my AA friends, letting them know of the meeting.
We are creatures of habit. Once the habit of attending a new meeting takes hold, it should flourish.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the great info.:+1:

Blissfully beautiful!
Typically at each meeting there is time for announcements, this is where you could speak up about your new meeting.
You could also, advertise it here as lots of people in recovery can see it…

Keep spreading the message. Thank you for your service!

Where in NY??

It’s in PA.

Welcome

Oh ok, well many blessings to you Michael for choosing to be a blessing to others! Awesome thing! Advertise your meeting on social media and maybe you can make flyers and post them around local places in your community, grocery store, post office, gas stations, library. Alot of places have bulletin boards for people to post things.

Posting these flyers all over the place would seem to violate the spirit of the 4th & 11th traditions of AA. I don't think that'd be a good idea at all.
