I struggled tonight.

My husband went to the store and bought Dr Pepper Zero. And i knew/know it pairs smoothly with Captain Morgan. (Thankfully i dont have any or I’m pretty sure I would of made a glass)

I took my 16 year old to fill her car with gas. I went to get juice for my littles & coffee creamer. The coffee creamer is in the same aisle as my Mikes Hard Lemonades.. :drooling_face:.

I looked and stared. Told myself 1 wouldnt hurt.

I kept walking. I left the store with juice & coffee creamer and the gratification that i ignored my inner pull.

There you Jenn that's all you needed to do is accomplish that guy wretching task just once. Every time after that it's going to get easier and easier each time.

Things like that will happen for the rest of your life. Sometimes for me it is a smell that takes me back to that period of time in my life. Temptation is not going anywhere. I struggled with this a lot in early recovery. I kept going to meetings and utilized my network to help me through those times. As time goes on and you get more recovery time under your belt, it gets easier. I am always hear if you need a listening ear.
