I suppose it’s time to introduce myself
anyways here goes! My name is Brittany, I’m 30 years old, from Smiths Station, Alabama and I’m a (recovering!!) addict. I’m currently 86 days sober from IV meth, a year and 6 months sober from heroin, and August will make 4 years sober from alcohol. My bout with meth and heroin started in 2020 after the tragic loss of my father at only 51…. An overdose in May of 2020 kept me clean off heroin until November 2020 when another overdose thankfully kept me off it for good. I found out I was pregnant in January of 2021 which kept me sober from IV meth until a few weeks later when I experienced the loss of that pregnancy and sent me into a downward spiral and I almost completely lost myself to the needle. I’m definitely glad to be sober today. Glad to have myself back and my life back. These days I spend my time working, doing any and everything I can with my 4 kiddos and my amazing husband who is also in recovery for IV meth and heroin, and just taking things a day at a time .

Oh, and it’s Fridayyyyyy yayyyy lol hope everyone has a wonderful weekend !
You are a strong and brave woman for making this post. So know that. Keep believing in yourself and know that everything that has happened only made you stronger. You are going to be ok if you continue to stay true to yourself and know that if you love yourself first then anything is possible. Be proud of the woman you are today and when you look at your children know that is why you are here in life. To be an awesome mama and give them the love they need. Keep going strong and being true to yourself. Never be ashamed for anything that has happened because we all have dark pasts but only few get out. You got out and that's such a beautiful story to be told. Congratulations on your recovery and enjoy your weekend.
Thank you that means so much to me !!!!
