I talked to my dad last night. Sounds normal right? Well, not for me. Usually if he reaches out to me the sky is falling. Sure enough, he has aortic stenosis. He has to have heart surgery. At least he cared enough to let me know this time…

You can only do so much. That generation (especially males) were raised to keep their feelings and all that to themselves. They passed that on to us. We are breaking the cycle. Keep living in the solution ODAAT

Another gift of sobriety. People begin to trust us with information and let us in. I clearly remember when that happened in my sober journey.
