I think the hardest part of getting clean was having to really understand that it was all me. No one made me do it and no one kept me on it except myself. And once I took full responsibility it became so much easier to stay clean. Addiction is a battle that feels like your fighting all alone and it has the upper hand. But that’s not true.

I totally agree its 100% our decision
It’s hard to see that we have a choice when in active addiction. However, once we get clean and sober we begin to have the awareness that we always have a choice. Great post! I need to constantly be reminding myself (mindfulness) that I have a choice.
