I distract myself honestly

Honestly, I knew myself well enough that I knew I had to have help. So, I chose IOP and PHP with Naltroxone. No longer on the MAT, and have had 0 cravings or stumbles. Sober since 4 30 24. I used the MAT for a little over a year and I swear that it rewired my synapses. I wish you the best. DO NOY GIVE UP!

The body is sober but the brain is still catching up, so cravings can spike out of nowhere.
Getting up and moving, even a short walk can take the edge off stress that drives cravings, interrupt your thoughts . It will pass, give your body time. You can do this

By helping someone that’s what I do. Going tru the steps and continuing to practice spritual principles is the proven method. It took me years to understand that my way never worked

Lisa, in early sobriety I went to lots of in person AA meetings everyday and nights too.
I made new friends in the sober community. People that are in the solution.
These actions made my life easier and better.
I’m here if you want to talk or have any questions

You created a hole, something wants to fill it. Make sure it's YOU that decides what goes in there.

Hi
Congratulations!!! Great job. Therapy, short term medication assisted treatment, meetings like 12?step, smart recovery, refuge recovery, the gym, hobbies, journaling. Everyone is different find what works. I always shoot for 1100pm (when I crash) so I start day out with meditation and promise myself I will not use today.
34 years later still sober. I will keep u in my prayers. Be safe

The drink has to be substituted for a non alcoholic drink. That’s what helps me. I don’t get cravings anymore, but when I did, I would drink a Diet Coke or tea like an iced tea. This works for me.
