I’ve been on a bender and ever morning I say

I’ve been on a bender and every morning I say it’s going to stop but I can’t. I dunno. I just need some encouraging words please.

Listen to a sober podcast, go to a meeting, there are a ton online, not just AA. You got this.

Thank you.

This was me literally a week ago. You need to check into a detox for a minimum of 72 hours of observation. They will give you meds to make you comfortable and mointor your vitals. I feel fine and ready to take on the world right now. It may take you longer, because my relapse was short lived, but I knew I would wake up and be at the liquor store waiting for it to open everyday unless I didn't check myself in.

Make a move, get the help, and then come back to us.

You literally need to get it out of your system, on watch. Going cold turkey alone can be really dangerous.

We’ve all been there, some longer than other. Make the choice and commit to quit before things get worse. Get help, go to meetings, be honest with your doctor

I went cold Turkey for 5 days after drinking heavily for many days. It was the scariest thing I have ever done. Very dangerous indeed. Please check in to a detox center where you can get medication and professional care. Then find an AA meeting (I suggest in person as opposed to Zoom) but if you can’t make it in person, Zoom it. I have 71 days and am working the program with a sponsor, as well as a meeting every day. It works if you are willing and open minded!
