I’ve been reaching out to people in the SAA meetings asking this one question which is Does anyone know of software that I can be installed that blocks porn related sites and online chats on the internet.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

It’s everywhere. Welcome to the ugly part of the world. I don’t do porn. Never have. Yet, if not careful it pops up on just about every social site. Why I don’t do social stuff. Social networks are rabbit holes. My fb has only my kids on it. Don’t friend anyone there. FB is pure evil chit. Includes Instagram, messenger, and a ton of other rabbit hole places. Snap chat and TikTok same thing. Rabbit holes.

Hi Kara, you might want to look into some kind of parental lock, that’s the only thing that I can think of that would limit the sites you access.

I’m not familiar with how to do what you are asking. However, I do know that looking at porn is a temporary escape away from acknowledging and feeling your feelings. I believe if you can sit with yourself and get thru the cravings to escape, they will pass. For me it’s no different than alcohol or drugs. Also, I have a zero tolerance (abstinence) with these things, as porn is the gateway drug to acting out for me. There’s no such thing as just a little.
