I’ve been sober 11 months after going to a treatment center for 35 days. I am still struggling with isolation. Does anyone else have this issue?

Everything comes with time I have a few years and still struggle with it. The only thing That helps me With it is my sponsor and sponsorship family. They keep me Grounded and from isolating

11 months is an amazing accomplishment! You should be so proud!!! You don’t have to be isolated. Try volunteering. A wonderful way to give back!! I volunteer 4X weekly in a government agency that helps (me included) senior rcitizens. So rewarding and my coworkers are so appreciative!!!!

Are you going to meetings? They aren’t just for when you feel like drinking. I’ve found the best friends I’ve ever had in the rooms of AA. I can’t imagine what my sobriety would look like without it.
Mary thanks for sharing. Yes I struggle with isolation. I think it’s typical of our dis-ease/addiction. My ego finds reasons to be alone. I go to in person meetings to be with people like me that understand me and that are working on the solution.
Service work always helps too!
