I’ve been sober 66 days, my husband has a little

I’ve been sober 66 days, my husband has a little bit more time bc he went to jail before I went to rehab. Friday night we had dinner and drinks l, no biggie right? I mean a couple of mixed drinks is a big leap from meth and fentanyl. Anyway, I’m sharing this because on the way home from the restaurant, we had an altercation. During which he attacked me. Hitting me in the nose, chest, and face as well as pushing me down multiple times. Idk what to do. I thought I could forgive him but every time I look in the mirror and try to cover up what he did, the voice inside me tells me to run and not look back. Can anyone give me any advice?

Hmm…let’s start with the physical altercation since I believe we ALL can agree on this matter. Regardless of whether is the first time or a common occurrence, you need to put a stop to this immediately. There are many options and opinions on what you can do, but doing nothing and trying to forgive us not one of them. Since I have no experience with this, I’ll let others chime in on the different options you may want to consider.
The other issue is the few drinks that are no big deal. While I understand it’s not meth and fet, you are playing with fire. What good do the few drinks do for you. Do they relax and calm you? How long until they no longer do the trick and you need more? It just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. I hope you find a daily program of recovery which can replace the need to feel like you need to escape.
Hope my message is taken in the proper way. I only wish to help. I do think it’s amazing that you came on here and posted this message. I feel you really want help. May you find it :peace_symbol:

The drink was a onetime thing. I literally have not had or wanted anything to drink in over a year before and have not wanted or had one since. I’m by no means disagreeing w you, just wanted to mention it. I am really interested in retaining resources to help someone in my situation. Ie; newly sober, no family, no where to go

My options are pretty limited

I agree with SoberinSoFa
I know of a friend and from that I say run as fast as you can. It WILL only continue or get worse.
He will either say he's sorry or down right blame you.
Get Out

Run

Almost any option would be preferable

No one has the right to physically attack you! Period! Like addiction, domestic violence is progressive. It starts with a shove, and ends with you hospitalized or worse. As far as options, a friend? A shelter? If you have family in a different state move? I hope you get the help you need.

Please check out this website. Use incognito mode if you are afraid that your husband may check your phone. They have a hotline number to call, text, or you can chat online. It can be a first step to check out your options. It doesn't mean that you have to commit to any option, but they can help guide you or you can just get in touch with them to vent. I know from experience that leaving this situation is not an easy task and leaving can be just as dangerous as staying if you don't have a plan. Please do not feel guilty for whatever you decide. I know that society tends to blame the victim for "not leaving" soon enough, but it is NOT YOUR FAULT. No one deserves to live in fear or to be harmed physically or emotionally. Please stay safe and reach out for help from these resources. So much love to you.

Just as a matter of priority, Run, get out. You owe that to your self and your safety.

Part of getting sober is going to any length to get sober. My relationship ended it was part of my any length. I wish you the best!
