I’ve broken so many chains, mended bridges, and quit running

I’ve broken so many chains, mended bridges, and quit running from the past. I started facing it head-on. I began to believe in a power greater than myself and let go of all my pain and suffering.

I realized we only get so many second chances at life. I quit blaming others for my mistakes. Even in times of heartbreak, I faced the demons that were trapped inside me.

Now I just live and enjoy life. Even when I stumble and fall, I get right back up instead of wallowing in the fear of failure. I try again, but in a different way, staying off the merry-go-round of life.
I owe all of this to AA and our higher power

How’d you do it?

By doing the work and the next right thing keeping everything completely honest vigorous work with a sponsor and other addicts and alcoholics turning my will and my life over to a higher power that’s greater then myself and stop thinking that I’m the only one realizing that my story’s only unique to me and that somewhere out there others have the same story and our childhood wasn’t perfect but our parents did the best they could with the tools they had

Right on Christopher! Thank you
