I wanted to come here and say this because I feel indiferente about this and not saying it out of a mad state. I realize yesterday that I don’t have to view this program as more than something that is helping me like a self help situation, but I know it’s a mutual help program. I might have said the wrong thing at a meeting yesterday because I saw eyes rolling. I’m sober that’s all that mater

Speak your mind brother! If you offend someone then you can apologize or not. Either way, sobriety is the best for sure, good call.

This is a beautiful part of recovery. I read in just for today a while back that when you share it should be to help someone in the meeting. I remember sharing and feeling like I said something wrong, or maybe not helpful. My sponsor assured me that sometimes my share is to help myself. Our shares don’t have to be pretty, or funny. That’s what makes our share unique. Those that matter don’t judge, and those that judge don’t matter.

Meetings are for you to vent the non sense you are feeling. Who cares what those ppl do or react. They don’t live your life they don’t pay your bills they don’t do you any good but to come on here and vent even more. Aa is merely for you to vent and get that junk off your mind and the ppl there should be helping you do that by serving in some way. F those eye rollers. Good job for getting to a meeting DONT STOP BECAUSE OF EYE ROLLERS. Those ppl will go back
To drinking I guarantee it. They are living selfish lives still if they eye roll. Selfish living will lead you back to the devil
