I was accepted a new job this past week and feel so proud. The downside? So many people doubting, joking. “Good luck not blowing this one” or “be smart. This is a great opportunity.” To anyone who hears something along these lines. I have a message. You ARE smart. We aren’t unintelligent. We have a disease. Decisions can be overpowered by addiction. To anyone struggling. You are doing amazing for what you’ve been given. Find the strength deep inside you, and use it as motivation for yourself. You’re your biggest cheerleader. Self love >

Right on. Positivity rules.
Being honest, I know I’ve changed since getting sober, but I don’t blame anyone for not believing I have. Their doubts in me are justified by their past experiences with me. I don’t believe that some people will ever change their opinions about me, so I don’t bother trying to change them. I strive for constant progress, and I do it only for me. Just keep moving forward.

Best apology is changed behavior. Working on the relationships I can salvage…learning to let go of the ones not meant for me.
