I was at the grocery store today standing in line. There was a gentleman in front of me, probably mid-30’s on the phone talking to a friend of his about someone who just recently got a DUI. In the past with when I was drinking, I got two DUI’s. I could have hurt myself but not only that, I could have hurt someone else and that is far worse. While I was standing there I could not help but to be be thankful that I do not drink anymore. That I am sober. I smiled when I thought about that and made me feel good knowing how far I have come. Never take sobriety for granted and always humbled by it.
