I went to an ATM in a liquor store today (it was the closest one and I needed to pay somebody cash) and strangely the alcohol was very off-putting. The liquor store had that same smell all liquor stores have. I didn't realize it till now that they all have this sweet cardboardy smell. Anyway it did not cause any euphoric recall, it was the opposite, like ew gross get me out of here. Although of course my disease was right there in the checkout line saying I could just get a couple of those minis, that would be a fun thing for a harmless sunny Saturday and nobody would know. Luckily I was on high alert from when I decided to step in the door so I was ready to expect things like that to come up. Got out of there as soon as I could, didn't even stop to grab a candy. Then went onwards to pay my tattoo artist

I’ve noticed that, too. That smell can almost turn my stomach completely upside down…most of the time. Sometimes, though, if I catch it and I’m not ready…it’s nooooootttt cool.

I felt that way my first few times post rehab. I work at a shop next to a liquor store and go grab sodas all of the time. I’m probably one of very few who do that
