I went to my interview for my small job today, not worried, knowing that it was the next right thing to do. I was hired. On the way to a meeting afterwards I thought to myself on how it is a privilege to be able to go to work, a privilege to be able to use that money for healthy things not drugs/alcohol, how it is a privilege to do my choir in my sober living house. Recovery allows me thoughts privileges because the alternative is hurting the people I love, being broke and homeless.
