I also agree with Andrew. I participate with the The Phoenix group here in Houston. We play volleyball on Saturday nights, we have a gaming night, amongst other events, lots of cool sober people, it’s worth checking it out

There are meetings everyday all day and night in your area. I suggest you get to a meeting.

Hello Lauren, I think people misunderstood what I was asking. I am not looking for an AA meeting (which there is always one I can find), I’m looking for a sober community to go to lunch, have coffee, be there for one another, etc.

I’ve been going to meetings, that is not what I wanted to find.
I’ve been looking at the app Meetup. I might try a group there
I live in Weho and work in Brentwood. I haven’t looked for any sober groups or meetings in my 4 and a half years sober. I just immerse myself in work and the gym. Probably would be nice to have a little circle of sober peeps though​:blush:

Hello, I’m in the high desert and work in Orange County. I also was looking for groups on meet up but nothing really for a sober community.
My cousin lives out that way and knows of several. I will ask him which ones he attends.
Okay Long Beach. SOCAL is BIG. Lol. I know a guy on here 10 years sober who lives in LA. Love that you are a teacher! I'll send you his contact info. He's a great guy.
