I woke up this morning and made the decision to live today sober. I made this decision yesterday and the day before as well. I’ve been making this decision for many days, weeks and months now. Regardless of how much time passes, tomorrow I will have to make the same decision again. Yes, I can unconsciously choose to not drink or use a drug out or mere habit, but the decision to live sober puts me in the proper mental state to truly live my life.

Way to go Oliver! I do the same thing. I make that decision every day, as well as follow a daily routine that reinforces that decision. Thanks for sharing brother
I made that decision for years until I didn’t have a choice any longer. I’m glad to here you are ready. I’d suggest finding a group, the support is priceless.
I’m fortunate that I’ve found an AA group and an awesome sponsor as well.

In truth, there is only now. Not drinking now is not drinking for real
