How do you have fun while others are drinking? Today is my son’s rehearsal and I’m very anxious being only few days is.

Fun is one thing, this is about staying sober. When I’m at a place like that I just stay busy walking around and such. I don’t know if everyone can handle it but for me having a mockail helped, flavored sparkling water, or about anything N/A. I just had to have something in my hand and I didn’t stay talking to one group for very long.

Hello Melodie. It took me a year before I could join the crowd. I have season ticket and we tailgate every home game. I just act normal and hangout like everyone else. I don’t even realize they are drinking. Don’t even think they are drinking. Give yourself some time and you’ll be ok. Let the willpower kick in and have fun just like them. I’m here in Houston and we have the Houston Texans as our football team.
