If I can make it through today and tomorrow I’ll be at a full week sober! I’m using this as motivation, I know I can do it. But it’s a no kids weekend and my girlfriend likes us to go out drinking so it will be challenging. I’ve been her DD before so if she wants to go out that’s her only option.

Hey Ryan! You can do it my man. Sounds like you eventually may need to sit down and have an uncomfortable conversation with your little lady. Probably sooner than later. Either way, we are rooting for you

I’ve had the conversation before and I always fall off the wagon eventually so I just don’t say anything anymore until we’re going out and I say I’m not drinking tonight

You got this! Maybe set boundaries with your gf now over the phone it may be easier.. ask her not to drink around you. I had to block my boyfriend cause he is using it sucks cause I love him but you gotta do it for you

Thanks. I really don’t mind her drinking around me though. She’s a fairly responsible drinker. I just don’t want the same expectation on me.

You do have choices.. just like any choice made.. it comes with consequences (positive or negative).
My hats off to ya bro I’ve never been in such of a situation before.
