Thank you. Appreciate the statement about not taking others inventory, I'll steal that if you don't mind:).
Mark, you posed the question
Are you still sober if you get high?
I simply gave you my view.
If you know so much about this, why are you on here asking questions to begin with? You obviously don't have any respect for other people's views.
You insulted me 8 times in your last reply. I would say that your reply speaks for itself as far as who's the less educated. That's what uneducated people do when they run out of answers. They start calling people names.
They also don't like people who's Ideology is not in line with theirs.
If you want to go and smoke something or take something because you think it's going help you in life than by all means go ahead and do it.
Everything is free choice. You can make any decision you want as long as you can live with the consequences.
Peace Einstein.
Not at all. I stole it from my sponsor, who took it from his...
I'll say this. When I was busy getting smashed and ruining my life over and over my lawyer urged me , repeatedly , to give up alcohol... and also to start smoking weed. See when he was in law school he had to drop out for a year because he was a fall down drunk. So he fell back on Marijuana. Then finished law school. And kept it like tht to this day. Now these days he has his own private practice , he's well respected and got plenty of dough. I think he did pretty d*** good.
If you're wondering if you can be in A.A. I mean the big book says the only requirement for membership is a desire to STOP DRINKING.
Dave, when you fail to recognize mental health as a disease your voice loses all credibility. I didn't ask for your stance on mental health, you volunteered it.
We call it borrowing! Lol and we borrow heavily anything useful.
It all depends on the level you are doing it at. When I was in rehab, they tried to focus on an abstinence of everything including marijuana. Didn't say it addictive or anything, just that it may lead to a path back to the other bad habits.
If it helps you and you still do what you need to do, then I personally don't see an issue with it. My doctor has actually recommended I look into CBD or psychedelics for a cure for my anxiety and depression.
I'm 10 months sober from everything but caffeine and cigarettes. (Currently 10 days without a cigarette!) I've thought about THC a lot but it always has come down to motives for me. I have yet to find a time when THC would make sense. However I smoked enough pot in my life to have done all the research I need haha. For me I feel like it would slow me down and maybe get in the way. I have a very good feeling I'll use it again before I die especially if I get cancer or deal with extreme pain.
