Essential!! Takes practice but man does it work!
That was an amazing point
That hasnāt been my experience. Only through the gift of desperation, program of Alcoholics Anonymous, and good sponsorship have I been able to scratch together 56 days today, after 3 years of more research.
Today took me a lifetime to get too so I'm just gonna focus on how I finally made it today. I get too overwhelmed if I starting thinking lifetime anything.
Mike, I too have found it to be a process. Well done on the 56 days. Iāll be there in 54 days.
Keep on moving and never see back.
Iām going on over a year now Iām not going back to my old way of thinking⦠Things are going to get hard but so is life
What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition. Straight off page 85 of the Big Book. I have to live my life one day at a time. Each time I have relapsed, I lost sight of this. I canāt ever forget that my disease will never go away. For every day I am sober, my disease is still out there getting stronger. After over 25 years of sobriety, I am still just one drink away from a drunk.
I don't think it's as simple as that - Everything is a trigger. I can't speak for everyone but being a combat veteran it's been very hard personally.
If you havenāt tried one day at a time then how do you know it doesnāt work for you?
Well, you havenāt tried to stop for a day then youāll never know if it works

Agreed.
I loved reading this. Iām on day one and this gives me hope
*with step work
Great stuff
I believe this to be true ..it works if you work it
Everyone chooses a path to to the top, sobriety is definitely not a one size fits all undertaking. But in that moment where your making that choice of sobriety, whether through AA or SMART or all on your own, in that very moment, we are all together. Peace and Progress to all who take the journey.
I hope you are doing well .
That's just it I haven't quit. I'm still getting high as I write this.
Iām in the same place.
