Simply said these thoughts and feelings will change - “imagine everything going well” - visualize it
Dear Ashley there is simply nothing to fear. I assure you, nothing or nobody will harm you. Freedom awaits you.
I learned my addict ego wanted me isolated and miserable. I had to transcend the addict/ego and get free!
Contrary actions are in order.
I’m here for you. This battle we need our sober brothers and sisters
Yes I got sober from Ecstasy for a year found out I was adhd they gave me vyvanse and then I got addicted to them and now im sober from my vyvanse and adderall.
45 days is huge, especially coming off stimulants. That tired/depressed/no motivation loop is really common while your brain resets after Vyvanse and Adderall. Be patient with yourself, it's neurology, not a character flaw.
Exercise really does help. It doesn't have to be much, a short walk or easy bike ride is enough to get some natural dopamine going and break the cycle a little.
You made it 45 days. That tells me you've got more strength than you're giving yourself credit for right now.
In all honesty a walk be way easier if it wasn't 90 degrees out
i need to find a place that stays between 50 and 70 year round
Also raising 3 children all under 10 they complain about walking
I just feel like im either super awkward when I talk to people or im annoying and share too much
A shopping mall is a good place to walk. It’s climate controlled and there’s sometimes retreat areas for children. If one of your children uses a stroller put him/her in it and have the oldest one push.
Also research what diet a person in recovery should have. Proper nutrition is important for mental and emotional health. Most people coming into sobriety have some form of vitamin/nutrient deficiency.
You are completely right the closest mall we have is an hour and a half away but I love that advise for most people that would absolutely work! Maybe we will walk in walmart
and i definitely have been thinking I need to stop eating all this junk and I do have some vitamin deficiencys!
Yes Ashley,
Once I started supplementing and eating healthier I began to feel better. I gained more mental and emotional toughness.
Join the club kid! We all feel super awkward and annoying! Thats why we have compassion and don’t judge others harshly. Recovering addicts are our tribe. We understand each other and can relate where others simply cannot or will not.
Chuck your fear out the window and purge your mind to open your heart.
Believe me you’re far from the weirdest cat in the rooms of AA/NA etc.
It takes time.. I went to the doctor then got a counselor who cares. My counselor got me a shrink and case manager to keep things going in the right direction. Sometimes those feelings keep us self medicating and is all we need is someone with the right advice or a little medication to get us through all the different feelings. Prayers and good thoughts to you for your forever recovery..

Yes Lisa,
Great input. What you’ve mentioned has helped me also! I forgot to mention it.
Congratulations
Thank you
@ashley485107
you're making excuses. I don't buy that for a minute. I say this with love, you're no exception to the rule. If I used that excuse or any excuse I would not have stayed sober for the past 37+ years.
I know this is easier said than done however come out west it's 75⁰ out here along the Laguna Beach coastline.

CONGRATULATIONS
on your 50 days of sobriety.
It’s been 5 days since you posted this - how are things going today?
Hi Ashley it’s also confusing to you because it’s a new way of life. I think my higher power because it’s a way program. Stay connected to your network talk to your sponsor if you don’t have one get one ASAP and continue to do meetings and other words stay busy and out of your head
It’s all so confusing to you because it’s a new way of life I thank my higher power for it being a WE program
Hi TJ
