Welcome! Support is helpful. As they say, I can’t do it but we can!

Getting rid of the old stuff is great start of a life changing journey of learning and growth. One slow step at a time. Attempt to have patience with yourself as you grow. :slightly_smiling_face:

Christie, welcome to Loosid, welcome to sobriety! Congrats on making this decision to quit meth! My story has meth in it as well. It destroyed my marriage and rattled my life. I tried to quit on my own. I relapsed and went down a dark road. My advice is to continue to ask for help. Read what others are doing to help them through the process of sobriety. Seek a 12 step based program or a program that works for you but doing it on our own has proved to be difficult for most of us. See our problem is centered in our minds and with the help of other addicts/alcoholics we can begin to shift our perspectives. Then we go out and help others achieve sobriety all while we stay sober.
We learn about spirituality and grow towards a higher power that will and can take care of us.
I’m here for you. I’m here to help share my struggles and coping tools they help keep me sober. Please feel free to checkout my pervious posts about my journey in sobriety. Hopefully there will be something for you that will help you. I’m glad you are here. Keep your head up.

Working on on Tuesday

I thought quitting other drugs was difficult until I met meth. The withdrawal was the worst experience. That is putting it lightly. It took a spiritual awakening to rescue me from contemplating ending my life. Over two years clean from all mind altering substances has allowed me to embark on a spiritual journey to self preservation. This is not a solo journey without support and your willingness to look deep inside yourself and genuinely face yourself.

Keep it up, Christie!

Have you tried getting plugged into a program? Rehab maybe?
