I'm free!

Sober and free from the chains of alcohol. Today marks day 42. I wish I felt better mentally, but the shot they gave me before I left residential has made me feel terrible. I'm taking it one day at a time, and I finally found a meeting location closer to home. I live in a very small town in Tn, and our BIG & ONLY grocery store is the locally owned Piggly Wiggly. :joy:

Congratulations! If the shot you got was Naltrexone there is a pill form that doesn’t have the side affects. I take the pill form and I know people that got the shot and had side affects. :+1::+1:

Naltrexone is a life saver. Talk to your Dr before stopping. If you take the pills you just need to remember to take them. I sucked at the pills because I'd just stop taking them if I wanted to drink.

Another caution on the shot... Make sure you have a card on you showing that you've had that for emergency purposes. Naltrexone is an opioid blocker, so if you're ever in an emergency and need pain meds they will not work
