Most likely they are scammers that are leading you on to eventually 13th step your wallet

Unfortunately Ben, there are a lot of people on here that are simply not doing the inner work required to heal and recover. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and give words of encouragement.. however I’m on a path of my own and can’t always be there for everyone as much as I’d like to.

13 stepping is when someone in recovery pursues a romantic or sexual relationship with someone who is new to recovery, vulnerable, and early in their sobriety.
