Im grateful for my sponsor. He was my best friend all through school. We were a complete menace to society. I went in the military, he went to the west coast. He has now been sober for 16 years, the fact that he was there for me, at my lowest of low even though we haven't really talked in 30+ years, proves to me there is a Higher Power.
