I'm in treatment and one of my sisters just passed away from this disease. I just realized that this disease is always trying to kill us. I knew it was deadly but I didn't know it was this close. I'm scared....and I'm having cravings.

That is terrible news. My condolences to you. The cravings will pass but I would talk with someone asap.

Reach out to someone who you can talk to. Get to a meeting. Find some way to be connected to others who will help you through this.

And what are you craving for? What she died from? Drugs today don’t want to get you high. They want to kill. Prove you can make it. Keep reaching out and seeking help. You’re in a safe environment. Others die so we can live. Live knowing getting high never fixes anything. And each time we put something into our bodies we are one step closer to joining them. It’s either you want to live, or you want to end up like those who have chosen to use and ended up like her. Fruck “cravings”. Feel blessed that wasn’t you. Bless her by living with the memory of her through living clean and sober and keeping her spirit alive through you, the living.

I’m really sorry for your loss. I know your sister is at peace now, and I KNOW she’d want you to beat this addiction for both of you. Do it for her and you. I believe in you! Whenever you want to slip up, talk to her and ask her for help. She’ll be there for you.

Very sorry for your loss. Keep doing the right thing “One Day At a Day” for you and your sisters memory. This causes a horrific death. I witnessed my brother suffer. God bless you stay strong.
