I'm new and struggling

Any help out there?

Just hang in there this too shall pass :pray:t2::heart:

Nights are hard...days are long .... really having a hard time

Yeah, they can be tough. You aren’t alone there. I’m pretty sure tough nights and such are a physiological thing, the stuff fighting it’s last fight as it leaves the system. Stick with it, you can do this.

Hey J. If you don’t have the app “meeting guide” download that. It lists all the AA meetings around you. If you are not part of a program I would suggest getting involved. AA, recovery darma, smart.. try them all if you need it. Keep your head up. The group here is awesome as well. We got you!

Struggling today...

At work, feeling faint and dizzy...

Depending on how long you have been sober, detoxing without medical assistance can be dangerous. You may want to go to the emergency room and get checked out

Sounds like you need to decompress. And take a break. Time off of work. There are a ton of us that have been where you are. all I can offer is that it will get better if you want and let it. The drinking is not going to help in the least bit. I wish you luck man. I do. But right now, you need to take care of yourself and your own health.

It seems like a tough decision to make at first but checking my self in for a week was the best decision I’ve ever made! I thought I was a lost cause but I really needed help to detox and then I did outpatient for a month and I’m going on 8 months sober. It’s okay to ask for help. Took me a long time to realize I couldn’t do it on my own. The medical attention you will receive is there to relieve some of this pain you are going through. I’d also suggest 90 meetings in 90 days. It does take work but you will slowly feel a change for the better. Side tip… I baked A LOT to keep my self busy and then I just brought the goodies to meetings. Great way to get involved with the fellowship too. Good luck!

Don't know how to use this app wish I did

Hopefully you are seeing all the solutions people are offering you! Ask for help from someone you know. Or someone you don’t know. Or get online and go to a meeting as was said above. It will help.

Pick up the phone and call someone. Find a meeting.
