I'm new here but I just want to say that most everyday people are generally mean! Flat out and they look down upon you because they think that they are better!!

They really can be. It makes me feel bad for them. How bad is it that they have to be like that

The only thing we can control is our own actions and reactions to life. Some people are just miserable and angry. Some that lash out or look down on those of us who are in recovery see an issue within themself they don’t want to deal with. They are incapable of being completely honest with themselves. The saying “those that matter don’t mind, and those that mind don’t matter” reigns true.
