Im so bored, what hobbies do you guys do?

I get the boredom. I’ve been writing, reading, and trying to get into TV again. Lately, I’ve been binging a series or two on the weekends. Have you tried picking up a new hobby? Any thoughts?

Working out became my religion… I’m really into it which I never thought in a million years I would. Pick something and see if you like it if you don’t pick something else until you find something that sticks and you can get really into it. Good luck :shamrock:

It took up a hobby and it turned into a very lucrative business.

Find a hobby that interests you and run with it.

Reading books and listening to audiobooks is engaging for the mind too. I read in the mornings over coffee before the day starts and listen to an audiobook (non-fiction) while i prep cook and eat dinner. I also learn spanish on duolingo every night, do nytimes wordle and connections. Gotta keep the mind engaged and body active.

I game and play my instruments.

When I got clean, I really got back into the gym, and that led to running, and that got me into the kitchen with healthy cooking and meal prep, and then added yoga.

But fishing, reading, year round yard work, and growing hot peppers in the summer are other endeavors.

Plants and piano!

I picked up gardening. Learning as I go. It’s peaceful. You can also listen to a sober story or audio book while you work on the garden

Feeling the same. I had a near fatal car wreck and for the next 3 months, I'm stuck in a wheelchair... God told me harshly that it was time for a change! (I've always had to learn the hard way) I find that since I have limited mobility, I like to journal, and sit outside in the sun. I pray a lot. I have recently taken up adult coloring books. It relieves my anxiety tremendously. Best of luck to you!

I definitely like walks. Either in town or out in nature. During the colder months I started doing puzzles and growing bonsai trees during my early sobriety. Actually helped introduce me the foreign concept of patience!
