The craving will go away soon. I still say the serenity prayer to get me through tough times.

Congratulations on almost being sober for a year. Carrie you never have to drink again. I know what it feels like to get 2 weeks before my 1 year because of the pain of miscarrying my first child. The pain was so great however I surrounded myself with sober people. Call on your Higher Power and you will be aligned with what and who you need to get you through this. It works and how I know it is in 2 months I will be celebrating 11 years

I’m still early in my sobriety and the few cravings I’ve had have been relieved by going to a meeting and playing the tape through. You got this!

One sip and you'll regret it before the glass hits the table. Guaranteed

I'm not going to. I just want to.

Good deal. Just sharing what I felt when I relapsed.

Go ahead.... Drink if that's what you want.

This is where people come for support who is having a rough time. These aren't comments you can leave for someone who has the bottle in their hand. I wasn't there. I just didn't want to feel alone, and I knew I wouldn't be here. Maybe if this is your advice, you should keep it to yourself.

Anything, but drinking. Lol, I'm going for a hike this evening, and I hope that will help.

Proud of you for achieving that amazing feat! Remember why you do it, and why every day you choose to stay sober.
The temptation is there and that voice in the back of your head will always tempt you, but you have the control. Go out and get yourself your favorite smoothie, soda, whatever it is. Again, proud of you for coming this far and you’ll continue to go further.
That thought is normal, but remember. You’re in control.

All we have is today. I wake up each morning with alcoholism. I identify, say prayers and work my program. It keeps me sober.
