I'm so very grateful for the change that I definitely see in myself and others. I've been getting more knowledge. I feel free at peace loving myself which is a hard thing to do just being happy. I am proud of you and you need to be proud of yourself. As you know, as you probably read on this portal, this is most likely the most difficult thing anybody has ever dealt with.

It certainly is for me.

Lauren, this is beautiful. You can feel the freedom in your words. That peace, that self love especially when you say it’s been hard that’s earned. Not surface level happy… real, grounded happy. I’m really proud of you. Protect that peace. Keep choosing yourself.

Lauren, I love this so much :heart: As someone in recovery too, I felt every word of this. That peace you’re talking about? That’s real. And it’s priceless. The self-love part especially whew that’s been one of the hardest lessons for me. Learning to sit with myself without numbing out, learning to forgive myself, learning to actually like who I am sober… that’s powerful. I’m also seeing changes in myself and in others in this community. More clarity. More honesty. More softness. More strength. It’s beautiful to witness. I will never let anyone or anything jeopardize my being clean and sober that right there is the boundary that saves lives. Protecting our sobriety isn’t selfish, it’s survival. Thank you for sharing your light. Posts like this remind me why I chose this path. We deserve peace. We deserve freedom. And we deserve to stay clean and sober. Sending hugs right back :white_heart:
