I'm sober, now what. My past hasn't changed, I still feel pain and have more regrets, and everyone is just waiting for me to slip. Sobriety is not an easy walk and the load is heavy that comes with it. Which is why many haven't been able to keep it. At times I too want to give up but I'm to scared of who I'd become. That fear alone keeps me sober and makes me coming back.
The past is exactly that - past. That was the old you. Now you’re the new you - Tommy 2.0! Forgive yourself. Show everyone that you won’t slip up with your footwork, not words. Join a fellowship, let others embrace and help you. Nothing says “I’m doing something for my sobriety” like jumping in with both feet. But let the past go. Staying sober is all of the amends that you need to do for your loved ones.

Have you surrendered to you higher power that you can’t do this alone ?
