I'm sold on sobriety but this seemed the most fitting place for my question...

I am putting together a list on common myths and misconceptions regarding addiction/sobriety. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

So far all I've got is:

  1. Sobriety is boring
  2. Addiction is a choice
  3. If I go to meetings I will meet more drug connections

Amen to that! Yeah, I had a lot of apprehension around meetings until I attended in support of a gf. Even after that, some apprehension remained and I'm not even sure why.

What I thought Alcoholism was when I was drinking and what I found out it was when I became Sober were two completely different things.
