Im still sober

How do you let go of the pain that haunts you. How do you not care about the person who gave you life but has single handly help destroy you. Someone who doesn't call and say congratulations on being sober or being in school or having your daughter ALL within 4 months of quiting cold turkey on your own without any rehab or help except from god? But if i relapsed would be on my phone quick as f*** saying i knew you wouldnt stay sober i knew you wouldnt do it... Why wont or dont she just love me?

Sorry for what you are going through.
I don't know you or your daughter, however - you both have been hurt and it may just take more time til she opens up to you again
I am in sober living, only child, and I cannot even talk to my own mother. I have days that I just cry -- like now, and days where I wish to not wake up, or even take my own life. I have been sober for almost a year, and I do not know how to repair the damage

Stepwork has helped me let all that go. Let the healing begin

Forgiveness is the best gift about recovery and faith if you can't forgive them forgive yourself :gift_heart: keep going and don't give up! I hope the right people come into your life that understands addiction and your recovery.

They may just feel guilty and are trying to make it seem like 100% your fault so they don't look at their part in it. That still stems from love, though it sucks!

Sometime it seems like we have to fall into our past in order to make since of our present. But theys just not true. Sometimes in order to see into our furniture clearly we have to put away the past. Maybe your mom can't do that just now. But trust me it won't be leaving her behind. If she's supposed to,she'll catch up. Just put the questions away for now and
Foucse on your future

You can only keep your side of the street clean. Controlling others is an illusion. The only person you need to prove yourself to is you. One day at a time.

This!!! I totally agree. I always say, “nobody cares about Janice like Janice cares about Janice” Lol
Keeping my side of the street clean has definitely helped me stay sober!
