In a weeks time I said some dumb things I regret, I lost my job, my girlfriend dumped me.. out of no-where guess bad things always happen in threes .. hopefully it’s over with. Luckily I’ve got the lord on my side and a strong AA community of friends and family… this will pass
Recovery first... everything else will fall into place in your journey.
I’m sorry, praying things turn around!
Wow that had to be rough. You have a great community here to rely on. Hope things are getting better little by little. This to shall pass.
90 meetings .when it gets rough.
Life gets Lifey.. it’s hard as Heck.. but lean into recovery and reach out to brothers/sisters in recovery, get to a meeting and engage in Fellowship. We ALL have times like these. It gets better!
If the "Lord was on your side" maybe none of that stuff wouldn't have happened. Maybe there is no Lord. Maybe there is, but he doesn't give a sh&t about human minutia like we think he does. Maybe none of that stuff was "all of a sudden", maybe we are/were just too selfish to see it when it is crumbling, and too egotistical to admit it. AA community and friends will help and it will all "pass".
Keep on keeping on.
There’s a movie called trust. I think it’s on Amazon prime for free. Maybe other places too. It’s not the most “entertaining” movie but I think it will resonate with you.
“Inspired by the book of Job, Trust tells the story of Daniel Rainwater, an everyday guy whose life is falling apart. As his marriage to Sarah begins to crumble when he loses his job and thinking that life couldn't get any worse, it does. Bitter towards God and going nowhere fast, Daniel must learn to trust God again before he loses it all for good. For Sarah, as tensions in the marriage rise, she falls out of love. Only to be confronted with whether she can still believe in her marriage and in hope once again. Meanwhile their children Lea and Jonah are going through their personal journeys, with Lea having to learn to trust in her parents and Jonah having to overcome his individual fears. Trust asks the age old question of 'How do we trust God, when life is falling apart? And carries a thread of relevancy to everyone that no matter what your going through, 'Never give up on hope'.”
