In Wisconsin deer hunting is a really big deal. Opening rifle season is full of tradition. Much of that tradition involves heavy drinking. Before sobriety this shelf in front of me would have been full of bottles and empty beer cans. I would have been dreadfully hungover (if I would have even made it to the woods). The whole day would have been spent slamming Fire Ball and missing what I am really out here to do. As I grow in sobriety the quality of everything in my life improves. I’ve spent some quality time with my son. Really enjoyed nature and had time to think with a lucid mind. Enjoyed the activity for what it is, not an excuse to get smashed. Life is like that now. And I actually live life now. Everyone enjoy this 24.
