Incredible how I go from serious anxiety on day 1 to thinking a little alcohol is ok on day 3.
Day three is when the brain goes into survival mode without its substance. Your brain thinks it needs alcohol to continue functioning like it had previously, but soon it will begin to heal and “” rewire it’s self to its new better functioning normal. Craving in a nutshell
I just need to remember how brutal the hangovers are on my brain. Goes on for 2 days. Surprises me cause I drink light beer
That’s ALL I drank when I was in active alcohol addiction. It’s still alcohol. I was hungover for three days at the end and went strait to withdrawals. I drank every three days and would say I’d never drink again the first day. I drank Busch light and my last bar tab was 280$
This is my constant problem. I end up with such bad anxiety attacks I go to the ER, I hate myself say this will be the time I change and then a day or two later I have a bottle in my possession again thinking I can control the anxiety this time.
It’s so embarrassing going to the ER all the time for the the same doctors passing judgment upon judgment and literally told can’t do anything go home and deal with it.
Tough stuff. The judgement that kills me are bar pals who see me get loud/obnoxious. Embarrassing to be known for that.
