Internet and ai age......intimacy and physical real life friends are just getting almost impossible to find in sobriety.

It’s wild how connected we all are online, yet still feel disconnected in real life. Especially in recovery, when we crave others who get where we’re coming from.
I tried in person NA meetings and felt more disconnected there and so out of place. It’s hard to connect with sober people in person and it sucks. But I will say, I’m grateful for those I have met online and that I talk to all the time.
I've never been very good at making connections. I've had to steer my recovery around this problem

Covid has definitely put a damper on meetings in general just kind of seems like people forgot how to socialize it’s sad because I don’t think I’ve ever felt so lonely in the respect of not having anyone sober speak to talk to on a regular basis like face-to-face
