Yes absolutely. Recovery is not just about how to quit drinking or how to get sober but how to live a sober lifestyle with complete redemption and continued service. When I first tried to get sober I went to AA meetings near me I thought I would stay sober for a month or two to try it out. When I worked the steps, I realized that I can take all of my past and clean up all the wreckage by making amends. This included making amends to people who had passed. It is important to meet sober people and I did that through AA meetings as well as joining a number of sober apps all of which offered different experiences. I have found a big key to living a sober lifestyle is attending sober events and sober activities as, now that I am sober, so much of the world is filled with drinking, I never even realized.
