Is it just me ? New to the app, and i feel like there are lots of people, (men and women) looking to just hook up. I am looking to talk to people who have similar struggles that want to support each other, maybe I am in the wrong place.

I just joined too.. definitely was hoping to meet some like-minded people to chat with and improve my recovery.

I really hope people going after lust don't ruin it :frowning:

Same. I see a lot of the same people commenting the same thing over and over. I would be careful. I saw this ad pop up on my feed and thought it would be nice to join a community.

One thing that I learned (after a lot of repetition) is that we can’t control people, places, or things. Ignore the bots & scammers and look for like minded folks. We are out there. Authentic relationships can grow in the wildest of places. So why not here. Just my two cents :blush:

Yes there is lots of fake accounts, so be careful,it's a shame these people do this,we as a community just need to report these a holes ,there preying on us and it's not fair if your mind is not well.

There are some great people here. I’ve been helped tremendously. It causes me to want to help others.

There some genuine people on here but yes there are fakes and bots on here as well. Use your judgement wisely and be careful

I join this site for sobriety only and increase my sober network and share my experience, strength and hope with other sober people.
I’ve experienced a lot of things that could have made me drink but I didn’t. This is the reason I share my story that we can go through difficult times and not drink.
I had one person who wanted to hookup with me even after I said that I was married

The best part of this app is that I can be up at any time and I'm able to help someone who's struggling. I get my fill-up early in the morning and throughout the day/night. It's worth dodging the bots.

That’s because they are on the wrong loosid app. There is a sobriety app and a dating app

NewForm is an app that’s all recovery no dating and it’s free. I’ve been there longer than here and have a lot more people and there app has meetings in your area posted and you can meet local sober friends!!

Dave, you’re in the right place. The majority of people here are here for sober support and service. Don’t let the other people distract or make you uncomfortable.

I take my recovery very serious, do a lot of AA and Alanon meetings. You are not alone!
