Is it the soon to be B day blues? Or does this last?

Been Taking suboxne now for about 5 months just barely attempting to kick it going on day 3! It's bad but considering no opioid for 5 months after 13 years! I got this! (I THINK!) Oh do I feel older this month FOR REAL!

Suboxone was some of the worst withdrawals I ever had. I rolled with the punches and I'm not gonna lie I was numbed by them for so long I felt happy sad angry and terrified all at once. You're in for a little bit of a ride but don't give up it can be done. Sendin love n positive vibes to you.

You've got this, sister.

Hi Mandy. Congratulations on your decision to kick the opiates. I myself struggled with opiate addiction for many years. I checked in to MAT and Suboxone was my way of finally winning the battle. A veeeery slow taper was the key. I was down to such a low dose I could barely cut the film any smaller. I was down to less than 1/2 a milligram a day. I did experience a slight withdrawal that only lasted a day or two but nothing like full on opiate withdrawal. Everyone is different but if you are struggling with the Suboxone it is usually due to tapering to quickly or not tapering at all. Suboxone should be used in conjunction with an in patient or out patient treatment including NA meetings etc. If you are not in a MAT ( medical assisted treatment) program and not getting tapered down properly you will have a much tougher time. Hope this helps and feel free to reach out anytime
