It’s so important! I changed my date after 23 years because my anxiety lied to me that CBD and edibles would help! THEY DIDNT

Hi Emilio! Mental health is important for everyone, regardless of if you have a medical diagnosis or not. Things like meditation, mindfulness, and therapy can definitely help a person remain stable. If your curious/concerned that you may have a serious mental health/illness I highly suggest reaching out to a psychologist or psychiatrist.

What do you mean?

Your sober date?

If we have mental health issues most people don’t want to deal after a while and we get avoided

What is mental health?

How do you know when your mentally healthy?

If you are questioning if you are healthy, you probably are or at least can be. We are all a little fucked up but we can be our best if we are willing to improve and get honest feedback from others

Do you believe that once you addicted , your always addicted?

I’m not a mental health professional, so please take the following with a grain of salt, I have just spent over 16 years working with mental health professionals on my own mental health. Ask yourself if you are comfortable with the thoughts you have, if they make you uncomfortable then what is it that makes them uncomfortable. Ask if your thoughts lead to dangerous or destructive behavior. Ask if your thoughts make it difficult to be present in your life. If your thoughts are disruptive to your life then I think seeking a mental health professional would be good/helpful in getting it sorted.

Mental health is vital to everyone, sober or not. We all have minds we need to take care of. As many in recovery know, working on your mental health is a key part of sobriety. Or else, those things we are avoiding, or ignoring, will eventually manifest in toxic and unhealthy behaviors.

Actually I would say, if you are wondering weather you are mentally well or not, you should have someone who is an expert in that area help you sort that out. It’s not about someone telling you what’s wrong with you… it’s about a dialogue and bringing voice to some of the things you’ve maybe been thinking or feeling. Much like our alcoholism or addiction it’s our heads that tell us we’re the only ones. I love the saying, you can’t have the same head that got you into the mess get you outta it. Youre going to need help
