Is there any specific reason why my anxiety is so

Is there any specific reason why my anxiety is so bad at night but in the morning I’m completely fine …. Throughout the day I’m good until about 8pm or so

Oh sure… you went all day with out using and your brain is wondering where the chemicals are. When I first got sober, my anxiety would kick in about 3pm because I was an after work binge drinker.
I would make a point to do something every day after work to help form new habits. Go to the gym, take a walk, eat ice cream, call your sponsor or sober friend at the same time every night. something to redirect your thoughts. In time it will level out.

I know my body and mind went into shock as I wasn’t drinking to knock out at night, being sober felt like forever just trying to get a grip. My anxiety kicked in hard between 2AM-3AM, and before I would just drink until I slept. There are some tools you should consider, “on awakening” and “nightly inventory”. You’re spirit will feel incredible.
