It feels like life lacks excitement; I struggle to find authentic connections even in friendships.
Same here
It'll come back. Took me almost 2 years to start enjoying hobbies again.
yeah I've been there. common problem. I am a member of a few groups that are very active. we usually plan something big once a month. we've gone bowling, concerts, theater, ball games, white water rafting, camping, horseback riding, 4x4s, renting quads, cookouts, skydiving, zip lining. pool parties, BBQs, a few yrs ago 8 of us went to Hawaii for the annual state AA convention (I've been 3 times), spiritual retreats, Matt Talbot retreats, many of us go to breakfast after the Sunday morning meeting. find your tribe. there are lots of things to do. the AA grapevine has a calendar of events posted online
It’s hard when thawe ‘fun’ and connection we used to chase doesn’t feel the same. Your body is just getting used to it. What’s boring for me =‘s peace of mind.
Hang in there!
